There has been positive feedback from members and visitors alike on the enhanced clubhouse layout and facilities.
The revenue from rounds played and food and beverage, which had both been adversely affected during the building work, has shown an encouraging improvement during the last three months. The upgraded facilities are contributing to an increase in rounds, more quality corporate golf days, conferences, offsite meetings and other functions. Lunches are increasingly well attended and the deck bar has proved so popular.
The extended car parking facilities have also proved successful and are available for the use of members at weekends and after 16h30 weekdays.
Staff Committee members attended a feedback breakfast with the full WGC staff complement following a series of personal development, team building and strategy workshops facilitated by an external consultant. The commitment of the staff at all levels and the positive ideas put forward were really outstanding.
