Want to consider a TaylorMade Driver; then there are 5 options to choose from. The r7 Quad, Quad HT & Quad TP and the r5 Dual ‘D’ and Dual ‘N’.
The r7 with it’s adjustable weight ports won numerous honours during 2004 in almost all the major magazines. The r7 is a good solution for golfers with a repeatable swing (probably better players).
The r7 Quad HT features a shallower, longer club face and a larger more substantial appearance at address than the original Quad.
Although this club has 3mm less depth in the face it has 1400 sq mm more club face with all the ball striking advantages including more forgiveness than the original Quad offered. The r7 Tour Preferred (TP) is absolutely identical to the club played on Tour with additional weight options to the Quad and Quad HT. The setup of the face on this club means it is for the best golfers amongst us and unsuitable for the vast majority.
The r5 doesn’t feature ‘do-it-yourself’ weight control but is a better bet for most amateur golfers. For those of you who want to minimize a fade or slice or even create a gentle right to left shot shape, go for the r5 Dual ‘D’. Those of you that already have a neutral or slightly right to left ball flight the r5 Dual ‘N’ is the best solution.
