I am sure that most of you have had the pleasure of using the new change rooms and I am sure that you have all enjoyed them and agree that they are much better than what we had anticipated. The whole image of the club is changing and I think that going forward we will all be very proud of the facilities that we have and of what we have achieved over the last few months.
We are currently looking for any sporting memorabilia that would fit the profile of the club. Should anyone have anything that they are no longer using, we will be most grateful if you could bring it to the club and allow us to use it. If you can help us in any way please come and chat to me or email me on lennflanagan@ns2dm.co.za
I have recently had a consignment of Ladies Clothing arrive and many of the ladies took the opportunity to view the goods at their AGM. If you have not yet seen what we have in stock then make sure you come in to the shop and have a look, you will be blown away at the beautiful garments.
The scrap for the number one position in world golf took another turn as Vijay reclaimed the spot last weekend. Interestingly, in a recent tournament on the PGA tour, I heard one of the commentators talking about the changes that Nick Price had just made to his irons. Naturally my ears pricked up and it turns out that Mr Nick Price had not had the lie angle checked on his irons for a few years and discovered that they were three degrees too upright for him. Once he had them flattened he started hitting the ball straighter, further and at a better trajectory.
Yet again this highlighted to me the importance of checking the specs of your clubs regularly. If it can make a difference to Nick Price’s game, imagine what it can do to yours…
