CONGRATULATIONS to Jack Featherstone

As one of the most popular members, Jack Featherstone , delighted the Friday evening crowd by winning today's "Meat Competition" on 43 points at the experienced age of 88.

The "Meat Competition" is held on a regular basis the next one being on Friday 17th September 2010. This event is sponsored by Rivonia Toyota. Please contact Mike McDonald for more details.

Wanderers A-Team :  Central Gauteng Interclub

Wanderers A, represented by Shaun Stapleton,Neil Homann,Byron Hardy and Jonathan Raphunga, were counted out into 3rd position on Sunday 8th August at the 22nd Central Gauteng Interclub Competiton held at Wanderers.
The course which was set up by Central Gauteng and played over 36 holes at an average of 78.6.
Interclub is one of the most prestigious events on the amateur golf calendar in the province and has been held at Wanderers every year since its inception.
Wanderers, who are 6 times winners, were the defending champions and as host club featured two teams.
Congratulations to the winners Krugersdorp as well as to Byron Hardy who scored 72 and 71, and to Bruno Van Eck who was one of only 3 players the entire day to score a sub 70 round (all three scoring 69).

Well done to all involved in this exciting event.

LADIES CHAIRMAN’S PRIZE 36 HOLES
FRIDAY, 14 MAY 2010

Thirty ladies braved the early morning chill to tee off for the 36 hole Chairman’s Prize held on Friday, 14 May 2010. Another 9 players enjoyed 18 holes. It turned out to be a stunning day with the golf course improving as the day unfolded. Thank you to the staff who have worked tirelessly to get the course in the best condition possible.
A festive prize giving took place afterwards and thank you to Steven Jack – Men’s Captain for handing out the prizes, it was great to see many of the men’s committee at our prize giving.
