Subject: Launch of HickoryT Golf SA

Dear Chris and the Management and Committee of the Wanderers Golf Club

It gives Brit and I extreme satisfaction to be able to write this letter – because it is as a result of the EXCEPTIONAL service we received leading up to and including the launch of our new company on Monday 13th August at Wanderers Golf Club.

When we approached Jeff and Kim about a month or so ago about the launch of a new initiative with a theme of “Scottishness” and the request to do it on a Monday; the response was immediately positive and “it would not be a problem to open on Monday the 13th”.  This was the start of a wonderful process during which the efforts put in by many people to help us achieve our “Scottishness” theme was extraordinary.  Despite us not being able to provide detail on the initiative itself, this did not deter those involved and what greeted us on Monday was nothing short of outstanding.

“Yes” I am a long-standing Wanderers member but trust me, there is absolutely no “positive bias” in this feedback and it is purely as a result of what I will term the awesome attitude and assistance.

When I asked Milton to set up an additional table early in the morning it was done with a smile and  Kim and Craig helping to set up the display was not exactly in their job description!!  It had only just started and the arrival fare with the smoked salmon, shortbread and “rusty nails” – a rather interesting Scottish refreshment – was fantastic and the assistance we received with the meeting and greeting was much appreciated.  The presentation room was set up perfectly and the cosy ambience in the venue after golf showed thought and care had gone into it – right down to the serviettes that I know John had especially sought and found; now to me that is going the extra mile!  The food was unbelievable and the comments we received on the night and by e-mail since are testament to a great job done by the chefs and the F&B team.  Finally I would like to comment on the ongoing positive attitude of Milton who served drinks until after 7:00 pm with a continued smile and willingness and also to mention Meriam who was also fantastic in serving the drinks.

All told, the “performance” of the Wanderers team involved in preparing and activating our launch contributed to a highly professional and successful day; so thank you!  All that is left to say is “well done and heartfelt thanks from Brit and Paul Adams and I am proud to be a member of a club that delivers like that!!”

Best regards

Brit and Paul Adams
