On Sunday 1 March, Ronald Woolf hit an amazing golf shot to the 12th green from the tee. Ronnie reckons the best shot he has played in his 58 year golfing career. Well the inevitable happened and Ronnie watched the ball disappear into the hole for his first ever hole in one. Well done Ronnie, what a great feeling…

Success Story - Anthony Michael

Success Story Congratulations to Anthony Michael on his win at Centurion in the IGT event, the 3 round event was closely contested with Anthony finishing with a birdie blitz to get to 19 under par and winning his maiden tournament as a touring professional. Anthony is a member of our TrackMan elite squad and has been working with us for the past 6 months, this makes our first tournament victory and with the form that Anthony takes into the Sunshine tour season, we wish him and all our tournament pros the very best and look forward to a great Sunshine tour season. SAGA Tri Series International

This week, the Wanderers Golf Club hosted the SAGA Tri Series international. The competing teams were The South African Junior squad, The SAGDB squad and our visitors, the Scottish National Team. The event was treated as a warm up for the Scots, before the Test against SA at leopard Creek next week. The players all enjoyed the golf course and after a grueling 36 holes on Wednesday, the SA Junior Team finished tops, beating the Scots and leaving the SAGDB team in 3rd place. New SAMS Captains 2015

Every year in true SAMS tradition, the new SAMS Captains bring in their own special nuances to the popular morning school. We have over the years come to love the traditions and the camaraderie that is so special to our morning school. This year your new captain, King Victor, seated on his Throne at prize giving, holding the fort, I am sure that again we will be treated to some awesome SAMS events and with Vic’s partner in crime, Mark Schoombie, we can all look forward some great SAMS entertainment this year.

  Wanderers celebrates 75 years ILLOVO – The Wanderers Golf Club celebrated its milestone 75th anniversary with a plethora of fun events during the week of 28 October to 1 November. 75th Anniversary golf week

Last chance this week to make sure that you have a spot in our 75th Anniversary golf week. Night Golf on Tuesday is sold out as is the Captains Invitation on Friday. However we have limited space in the Wednesday school, the 8 ball Commando and times are available for the Anniversary Alliance on Saturday. The Gala dinner and draw of the R75000, tables are limited so please contact Kim to get a seat.
