Swan Update

Swan UpdateThursday morning, we were very pleasantly surprised, our breeding pair of Swans have built their nest and have laid 4 eggs. I will keep you updated on their progress, we should be able to expect some brand new Signets in the next 4-5 weeks.Rudy is on the mend, he has shown great progress over the past week, we will take him back to the vet to have his pins removed and we are confident that he will have a full recovery very soon.
The Wanderers Golf Club Springbok Alliance Team Report from Lenn Flanagan ..... With the Rugby World Cup kicking off as you read this week’s newsletter, I thought it appropriate to share the Gees that the Wanderers Golf Club has for the greatest Rugby event this year.Well done to Robin Hancock, Neil "Spanner" Ransome, Colin Van Der Meulen and Russell Sourgen who dressed up in support of our Boks and played the Lazzara Leicher monthly Alliance.I would imagine that we are all waiting nervously for Sunday's game against Wales. I for one believe that the boks have a great chance in becoming the first team to win 3 World Cups and to become the first team to retain the Webb Ellis Trophy.

Anniversary Day Drawn Alliance

The Wednesday school, cleverly disguised as the North Coast Noblemen, recently went on tour to the Last Outpost, flailing their clubs in the general direction of the North Coast. Here is a picture of them before they knocked most of their golf balls into Prince's Grant's vegetation. Congratulations to Rob Masefield on his win last week, Rob represented The Wanderers at the Sanlam Cancer Challenge Regional Final that was played at CCJ Rocklands. Rob has made it into the National Final to be played at the Gary Player Country Club on the 24th and 25th of October. Well done Rob, we wish you the very best in your National Final and look forward to you winning that as well and representing The Wanderers Golf Club and South Africa in the World Finals later this year. Rob won, using the new Dixon Earth Ball, Dixon are the very first golf ball manufacturer to produce an Eco friendly golf ball.
