Wanderers Golf Club News
C.O.W Of The Week This week’s C.O.W is Darran Warner. Darran was not made the C.O.W because he played terrible golf, Darran happened to be playing behind some slow golfers on Saturday and as they did not stay for prize giving, we had to make another plan. Darran being the sport he is, gladly accepted the hat and proceeded to raise the bar on collecting fines during the evening’s prize giving. Darran has issued a challenge to all future C.O.W’s to beat his record and to also take fine collecting to a higher level. Even if you have to accept bribes from your fellow playing partners, do so as the fines collected do go to a very good cause that will be decided at the end of the year by your Captain.

C.O.W. of the Week

Monday, 09 July 2012
Richard O'Mahony Is Our COW Of The Week He's the proud winner due to the fact that he left his golf shoes at home. Vince and Richard were going out for a bite to eat and Richard would normally wear his shoes to golf, but changed his plans. Richard then forgot to pack them and had the audacity to phone his sister to drop them off, and as would happen when you're waiting for something, she ran a little late, but still managed to get them here for him...thanks sis!
Clubhouse: Lawrence Goma - Lawrence won the award this month as he has done a great job at halfway house while his colleague, Busi, has been on leave - he is always a friendly face that greets you at halfway house - well done Lawrence!
Service Excellence Champions for June 2012 Course: Rason Matsane - Rason won the award this month as he is always working hard and does his job, he is also able to fix machinery when our mechanic, Derrick, is on leave - well done Rason!
