Top 16 scratch Knockout The dates for the Top 16 Scratch Knockout have been set for the weekend of the 17th and 18th September. All A and B Division golfers who finished inside the Top 16 at Club Champs this year are automatically entered into the event. We will confirm with everyone and will send you a reminder a little closer to the time. The format is Matchplay, all golfers play off Scratch. Golfers who lose in the first round of the knockout, will play for the plate, ensuring all 16 golfers will play 36 holes on the Saturday. The Top 16 is an amazing event, lots of golf, great competitive camaraderie and an event that ranks highly on all of our top club golfers as an event that they are always keen to participate in and hopefully win. The "Newly Weds" After introducing our new little swan, the two of them took off in opposite directions to each other on the course. I am happy to announce that this week, they have finally kissed and made up and are looking really happy together usually around the first and 7th holes.

We will contact the qualifiers, please in the mean time diarize the dates and get practicing as it is a prestigious event on the Wanderers Calendar.

Neil "Naartjie" Nortje, popped in last week and had a quick yet successful putter fitting.The biggest change to his putting game was getting the lie angle of the putter in relation to the length of the putter square to the target line, allowing Neil to roll his putts better, getting more consistency on the greens and leading to more putts holed.If you are unsure about your putter, perhaps the length is not quite suiting your stroke or you have any other queries relating to your short game, pop in we are more than happy to get you fitted and ready for your next game of golf.

Wanderers Ladies and Mixed Charity Days These very important events will take place on Friday 22nd July 2011 (Ladies Open Charity Day) and on Sunday 31st July 2011 (Mixed Invitation Charity Day). Attached are the full details. Please support our Ladies to support those less fortunate.
